Director of Data
London based, hybrid | competitive salary between £120,000 to £140,000

The Role
As Director of Data, you will take ownership of delivering a defined data and analytics roadmap across the business. You will lead a small, capable team and work closely with senior stakeholders to embed insight, advanced analytics and predictive capability into products and decision making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and executing the existing data and analytics strategy, with a clear focus on commercial outcomes.
- Acting as a senior, credible data voice with stakeholders, translating complex analysis into clear insight and recommendations.
- Driving adoption and value from a suite of data products and platforms used by both internal teams and external clients.
- Developing advanced analytics and predictive use cases to support campaign optimisation and customer understanding.
- Improving data literacy and self service analytics across the organisation.
- Remaining hands on with analytics and insight, while leading a small team consisting of engineering and analytics capability.
Your Skills and Experience
You will bring strong experience operating as a senior data leader in a commercially driven environment, with a clear track record of delivery.
Key requirements include:
- Experience using Langchain, RAG systems and Vector databases
- Proven ability to lead analytics and insight functions, with a bias towards hands on delivery rather than large scale people management.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the gravitas to operate confidently at board and senior leadership level.
- Experience delivering advanced analytics or predictive projects, with exposure to AI or data science concepts in a practical business context.
- Strong technical understanding across SQL, Python, modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, and data visualisation tools.
- Experience working in fast paced environments and delivering under pressure.
- Exposure to global organisations or international teams.
- Background in loyalty, consultancy, agency or similar data driven, client facing environments is highly beneficial.
