We’re partnering with a leading IT consultancy to secure an experienced SC Cleared Data Engineer for a long‑term programme of work. This is a hybrid role based in Liverpool (3 days per week onsite), outside IR35, with an immediate start and a 2‑year project.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in designing, building, and optimising modern data platforms within a secure environment. This is a hands‑on position suited to someone who can work independently, deliver high‑quality data solutions, and confidently engage with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data integration solutions
- Develop and optimise data workflows across modern cloud platforms
- Work with large, complex datasets to support analytics and reporting requirements
- Collaborate with architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data‑driven solutions
- Ensure solutions are secure, reliable, and aligned with best practices
- Active SC Clearance (essential)
- Strong experience as a Data Engineer in Azure environments
Key Skills & Experience
- Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse Analytics
- Data Pipelines (ADF or similar) and/or Databricks
- Solid understanding of data architecture, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud data platforms
- Ability to work independently and deliver in a secure, structured environment
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience
- Location: Liverpool (3 days onsite per week)

- Duration: 2‑year project
