Real Estate Finance Associate (1‑3 PQE) – Leading International Law Firm, London

We are working with a leading international law firm on an exciting opportunity within its highly regarded Real Estate Finance practice in the City of London. This Associate position sits within a thriving and growing team, recognised in the market for the quality of its work, strong client relationships and collaborative team culture.

The team advises on a broad range of sophisticated real‑estate‑backed financings for an impressive client base, acting for major banks, debt funds, insurers and other institutional lenders, as well as investors, developers and high‑profile property companies on the borrower side. The breadth of the practice offers excellent exposure across both domestic and cross‑border transactions, providing genuine variety and strong technical development from the outset.

The work spans a wide range of asset classes and financing structures, including investment and development finance, mezzanine finance, hotel finance, logistics and industrial assets, student accommodation, PRS and wider mixed‑use developments. The team is known for handling complex, high‑value mandates while maintaining a supportive and well‑structured environment for junior lawyers to develop quickly.

Associates are given early responsibility, direct client exposure and the opportunity to work closely with highly regarded Partners and senior lawyers across market‑leading transactions. There is also a strong emphasis on long‑term progression, mentorship and involvement in business development initiatives as lawyers advance within the practice.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ PQE (NQ+ candidates with strong relevant seat experience may also be considered)
• Experience in Real Estate Finance, Banking & Finance with strong real estate exposure, or broader finance work with a genuine interest in specialising
• Qualified in England & Wales, or internationally qualified with strong London market experience
• Training or post-qualified experience gained at a respected City, national or international law firm
• Strong technical ability combined with commercial awareness and a collaborative approach
