Senior Consultant, Supply Chain and Operations – Procurement
EY is a global professional services firm seeking a Senior Consultant to help shape client supply chains and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain and strengthen relationships and act as a trusted advisor in at least one supply chain domain (operations, planning, procurement, manufacturing, etc.)
- Lead or contribute to a workstream within a project, managing activity to complete deliverables within assigned remit
- Actively participate in core project teams, collaborating across EY’s practices and worldwide offices
- Contribute to proposal development, showcasing EY’s leading practices
- Engage the market with thought leadership, enhancing EY’s methodologies
- Work with internal sector and account teams to develop a network and leverage commercial and procurement expertise
- Support successful delivery by managing work products, forecasting time and budget, and ensuring quality exceeds client expectations
- Maintain a personal development program to enhance technical and consulting skills
- Develop people‑leadership experience as part of client and internal teams
Your Experience
Typically, Senior Consultants bring practical experience from professional services or industry, with proven commercial and procurement expertise. Experience across consumer products & retail, energy & resources, government & infrastructure, health & life sciences, private & national, telecommunications, media & entertainment is valued.
- Supply Chain Strategy
- Design operating models, segmentation strategies and inventory optimisation; understand end‑to‑end supply chain issues and propose solutions
- Supply Chain Transformation
- Participate in large‑scale transformation projects, covering people, process and technology changes
- Digital Supply Chain
- Apply or implement next‑generation technologies such as Robotic Process Automation, cognitive automation, AI, IoT, blockchain and Big Data analytics
- Supply Chain Analytics
- Develop detailed analytics to deliver end‑to‑end visibility, connect models to customer and pricing analytics
- Supply Chain Planning Functional
- Demand and supply planning, sales & operations planning, segmentation strategy, inventory optimisation and/or production scheduling
- Supply Chain Planning with Technology
- Knowledge of OMP, Kinaxis, o9, Aera, SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, SAP S/4 HANA
- Logistics
- Network design and modelling, customs and trade, warehouse design, optimisation, 3PL/4PL or control tower management
- Manufacturing
- Plant‑level performance improvement and holistic network optimisation
- Procurement
- Strategic, operational or transactional procurement across the buying lifecycle, including strategy, operating model, category management, strategic sourcing and technology deployment; experience with SAP Ariba is sought
- Service and Asset Management Transformation
- End‑to‑end asset management lifecycle: strategy, budgeting, sourcing, warehousing, inventory management, repairs, disposals and accounting processes
Qualifications
Senior Consultants should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, engage effectively with peers and senior stakeholders, and be proactive, energetic, self‑starter. Proficiency in professional body memberships (e.g., CIPS, IACCM) is desirable but not mandatory.
