The Role

You will be involved in delivering planning advice across a broad range of sectors, including:

  • Residential and mixed‑use developments
  • Commercial and employment schemes
  • Strategic land promotion

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing planning applications from inception through to determination
  • Preparing planning statements, reports and supporting documentation
  • Providing strategic planning advice to clients
  • Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders and consultants
  • Supporting business development and maintaining client relationships
  • Contributing to project strategy and problem solving
  • At senior level, you will also be expected to take on greater responsibility for project delivery, client management, and mentoring junior team members.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience within a planning consultancy or local authority
  • A strong understanding of the UK planning system
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to manage projects independentlyA proactive and commercially aware approach
  • MRTPI Chartered status (or working towards Chartership)
  • Experience managing complex planning applications and client relationships
  • Ability to mentor and support junior team members
