The Role
You will be involved in delivering planning advice across a broad range of sectors, including:
- Residential and mixed‑use developments
- Commercial and employment schemes
- Strategic land promotion
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing planning applications from inception through to determination
- Preparing planning statements, reports and supporting documentation
- Providing strategic planning advice to clients
- Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders and consultants
- Supporting business development and maintaining client relationships
- Contributing to project strategy and problem solving
- At senior level, you will also be expected to take on greater responsibility for project delivery, client management, and mentoring junior team members.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience within a planning consultancy or local authority
- A strong understanding of the UK planning system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage projects independentlyA proactive and commercially aware approach
- MRTPI Chartered status (or working towards Chartership)
- Experience managing complex planning applications and client relationships
- Ability to mentor and support junior team members
