We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to perform a supplier quality assurance role to minimise risk to supply chain, business and customer and maximise the quality of deliveries from suppliers.
In this role you will assure that supply chain quality standards are implemented, monitored and maintained. You will identify, verify and sustain continuous improvement within the supply chain and business where required, and drive robust corrective actions to avoid repeated failures and minimise the risk of supply chain quality.
As the Supplier Quality Engineer, you will work closely with all levels of internal and external stakeholders, including approval authorities.

Key Responsibilities
- Proactive management of quality issues identified to drive robust root cause and corrective actions.
- Manage Supplier RCCA responses and close‑outs.
- Support supplier quality selection, onboarding or transfer of work processes, control risk and collaborate with other departments to bring in right‑first‑time items from the supply chain.
- Conduct supplier product and manufacturing process audits.
- Provide support and/or AS9102 FAI training to our supply chain.
- Offer technical engineering support, including concessions, process reviews and quality improvements.
- Manage supplier moves and associated creation/implementation of quality plans.
- Support new projects/prototype suppliers where required.
- Perform on‑site (supplier) source inspections or release at source where required.
- Regularly review and report value‑stream associated supplier quality data and facilitate action plans to drive continuous improvements.
- Provide day‑to‑day on‑hand support to suppliers for quality‑related queries.
- Translate customer requirements and ensure appropriate flow and implementation within the supply chain where applicable.
Essential
- Proven range of quality/business improvement experience.
- Experience working within a quality management system.
- Experience with auditing.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and design requirements.
- Knowledge of manufacturing environments and supply‑chain experience.
- Good communication skills demonstrated verbally and in writing, including presentations and recommendations for improvement.
- Effective teamwork and relationship building with internal and external stakeholders.
- Planning and timely delivery of work.
- Positive, can‑do attitude and proactive initiative within the scope of the role.
- Decision‑making within the scope of the role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Understanding of basic hand‑held metrology equipment and other inspection and measurement techniques, including their limitations.
- Willingness to travel on business, with overnight stays as required.
- Valid passport and driving licence.
Desirable
- Experience in an aerospace organisation.
- Experience in aerospace quality standards (e.g. AS9100, EASA Part 21, Part 145).
- Experience in aerospace topics such as FOD, counterfeit avoidance.
- Process measurement techniques (e.g. SPC, KPIs).
- Certified quality auditor training.
- Engineering‑linked education.
- Knowledge of FAIR process, APQP/PPAP or ISAR.
- Understanding of special processes such as anodising, surface treatments (painting, electro‑plating), PCBA manufacturing.
