We are seeking a self‑driven and enthusiastic Noise, Nuisance and Licensing Officer. The successful candidate reports to the ASB, CCTV & Enforcement Manager and handles complaints about noise, light, smoke and odour from commercial and residential properties.
The role involves licensing enforcement duties, including investigating complaints, inspecting licensed premises, and taking formal enforcement action. The position requires working day, night and out‑of‑hours shifts on a rotational basis.
Our strong, supportive and innovative team delivers a quality service, works closely with internal and external partners, and completes cases quickly while ensuring legal compliance.
To excel, you must have a solid understanding of noise, nuisance and licensing regulations and experience managing a varied caseload. Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
You should demonstrate strong problem‑solving, analytical skills, and the ability to apply powers to resolve complaints. You must also take appropriate enforcement actions, issue notices and prepare legal documentation.
Excellent communication and presentation skills are required for engagement with residents, elected members and partners.
Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence.
