Our client, a top‑tier global investment bank is seeking a highly skilled VP‑Director level CEEMEA FX Options Volatility Trader to join its London‑based Global Markets division. This is a primary book‑runner role, responsible for leading the CEEMEA FX options and volatility franchise with significant ownership of risk, pricing, and P&L. The position offers high visibility, meaningful autonomy, and the opportunity to shape and grow a key regional business within an established macro trading platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main book‑runner for the CEEMEA FX options volatility franchise, managing all aspects of the risk book.
  • Price, trade, and risk‑manage CEEMEA FX options, both vanilla and exotic, with a focus on volatility surfaces, cross‑vol dynamics, and correlation.
  • Generate, communicate, and execute differentiated trading ideas that contribute to consistent risk‑adjusted returns.
  • Support client flows in partnership with global FX sales, providing market colour and maintaining liquidity provision standards.
  • Work closely with structuring and research to develop bespoke CEEMEA solutions and thematic macro ideas.
  • Stay ahead of geopolitical and macroeconomic developments across CEEMEA markets and actively incorporate them into trading strategy.
  • Maintain rigorous risk discipline, conduct standards, and enhance platform processes where appropriate.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 5-10+ years of FX derivatives trading experience, with direct exposure to CEEMEA markets strongly preferred.
  • A proven P&L track record in FX options vol trading, ideally as a book‑runner or deputy book‑runner.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including deep knowledge of option pricing, stochastic volatility models, and advanced risk metrics.
  • Ability to manage complex, event‑driven risk across multiple EM currencies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, coordinate, and collaborate across trading, sales, and senior management.
  • High attention to detail, strong ownership mentality, and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
