The Role…
- Solve product related problems, make decisions, complete trade-off analysis to stay on track towards business deliverable commitments
- Asses value, develop cases, and prioritise ideas to ensure work focuses on those with a maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
- Collate potential solutions to problems and test to provide insight and recommendation on proposed solutions
- Ensure that all change has an appropriate release plan including value focused communication, success measures based on outcomes, appropriate adoption reporting and feedback loops to ensure value is measured
- Provide feedback, analysis and insight into creating a product strategy and vision as part of the product team
- Be passionate about providing value to the business through product iterations collaboratively working with the wider team to ensure you consistently add value
- Define and own a roadmap of projects and improvements for your product area
- Research and analyse market, our competitors and industry to feed into the roadmap for the product
- Serve as the voice of the user in discussions with development and stakeholders
- Work with all levels of front-office and operational users to capture business requirements for the IT project workstack, ranging from large-scale projects to iterative improvements
- Analysis of current and desired business process to form the basis of proposed solutions
- Involvement in the design & delivery of solutions in collaboration with internal and external development teams
- Develop scope and define backlog items that guide the software development team
- Increase an understanding of Agile practices, Design Thinking and bring new ideas into the product process
- Passion for technology with a view on how to improve experiences for users
- Experience creating problem or opportunity statements in order to align stakeholders
- Comfortable working in an environment where scope changes and risks exist
- Knowledge of working with developers or partners to refine ideas into valuable solutions
- Able to manage multiple projects and enjoy working to timeboxed discoveries
- Comfortable working with data and producing reports
- Knowledge of Agile principles and process
- Appetite for learning and comfortable with knowing what you don’t know
- Comfortable managing expectations of both users and senior stakeholders
