We're working exclusively with a major financial institution to hire a contract Cleanroom DevOps Engineer into their engineering team. This is a rare opportunity to own a mission-critical security capability – the last line of defence in the event of a ransomware attack.
Key info
Location: City of London
Work Type: Contract (Inside IR35)
Hybrid model: 2 days a week onsite
The Role
You’ll design, implement, automate and maintain a largely autonomous cleanroom (Ransomware Recovery) environment, enabling the rapid recovery of affected systems into ring-fenced environments where they can be analysed, cleansed and restored to production. You’ll protect and recover both application data and infrastructure configuration data across a large estate spanning Europe and the Americas.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading infrastructural improvements in security, recovery and automation
- Day-to-day support of the cleanroom environment, including incident, problem and change management
- Ensuring systems meet security and vulnerability management standards
- Working across compute, converged, storage, backup and archive environments
- Building and delivering cutting-edge, highly automated recovery solutions in a small expert team
Required skills
- VMware Aria Automation (formerly vRealize automation)
Preferred skills
- Terraform
- Ansible
What we’re looking for
An experienced, versatile engineer and genuine self-starter. You’ll be comfortable operating with autonomy, thrive in a small high-calibre team, and bring tangible value from day one. The scope of this role means you’ll continually broaden your skills across multiple technologies – ideal for someone who enjoys breadth as much as depth!
