This hands‑on technical role has real impact, protecting Vodafone’s UK network integrity while enabling lawful access obligations safely and reliably.
- Lead integration activities between highly specialised compliance platforms and Vodafone’s UK mobile network, including Ericsson core network components, IP infrastructure, and supporting IT systems
- Act as a trusted technical authority within your area of expertise (IP, UNIX/Linux, mobile core networks, or systems integration), shaping integration design, configuration, and validation
- Work closely with architecture and design leads to ensure all integrations align with security, operational, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate day‑to‑day with Ericsson and other trusted third‑party vendors, helping to align systems, interfaces, data flows, and operational behaviours
- Step in as a senior escalation point for complex incidents, leading investigations across network, platform, and integration domains and driving issues through to resolution
- Support planned changes, upgrades, and enhancements, ensuring stability, auditability, and security before, during, and after change windows
- Mentor and support junior engineers, sharing your knowledge through hands‑on guidance, documentation, and the development of learning pathways that strengthen the whole team
- Operate with the highest levels of professionalism, discretion, and integrity when handling sensitive systems and information in a regulated, security‑sensitive environment
Who You Are
- Significant hands‑on experience in one or more of the following areas: IP networking, UNIX/Linux systems and platform integration, mobile network engineering, complex systems integration across network and IT estates
- Strong experience integrating systems across multiple technical domains, with a solid understanding of interfaces, data flows, protocols, and dependencies
- Background working in large‑scale telecommunications or similarly complex, networked environments (experience with Ericsson technologies is a plus)
