Our national Financial Planning and Investment Management client is currently going through rapid expansion, being on course to become one of the leading, prominent brands in Financial Services. Their aim is to deliver sophisticated financial planning and investment management solutions through technology‑led services to enhance client experiences while delivering expert levels of regulated advice. The newly created opportunity will play a key role in supporting the IT Manager in a broad‑ranging 1st/2nd line support role. This is a hands‑on role for an individual who enjoys working in a fast‑paced and challenging environment.
Responsibilities
The IT Support Engineer is responsible for being the first line of support in respect of IT queries and dealing with various troubleshooting issues.
- Provide support to resolve any IT issues, both on‑site and remotely
- Support the troubleshooting of business applications, hardware, mobiles, and printers
- Play a key part in the setup, monitoring and administration of our Microsoft 365 tenancy (i.e. Endpoint Manager, Azure AD, Purview, Teams Phone)
- Deal with set‑up arrangements for new starters
- Build and deploy laptops
- Monitor the availability of essential IT systems
- Proactively look to continually improve the IT infrastructure
- Set up IT equipment for internal meetings
- Write, edit, and revise IT guides and manuals
- Maintain the IT assets
- All other tasks to ensure support for the IT Department
Essential Experience and Skills
- Ability to support non‑technical users and explain complex IT concepts in simple terms
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi‑task and work to deadlines
- Ability to provide concise documentation
- Experience in supporting Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Microsoft O365 Admin, Microsoft Endpoint Manager and Microsoft Exchange Online
- Knowledge of cloud telephony, in particular Teams Phone and relevant calling plans
- Experience in supporting and troubleshooting issues with Microsoft Office products
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
- Experience in installing, managing and maintaining PCs and key applications
- Troubleshooting basic network issues
- Experience in supporting mobile devices
- Understanding of LAN/WAN networks and protocols such as DNS, DHCP
- Troubleshoot remote access through VPN
Relevant Experience
- Minimum of 12 months experience within an IT department
- Experience within the financial industry is beneficial
Work Arrangement
Home working will be available during the working week with some occasional travel to the London offices.
Location and Compensation
Location: North London – Home Working | Salary: £30,000 – £33,000 per annum
