CRA Consulting is working with a well-established personal injury practice to recruit a Claims Team Leader into their Fast Track / RTA division. This role would suit an experienced RTA Fee Earner or existing Team Leader who enjoys a blend of people management, technical supervision and operational delivery, and is looking to take the next step in a structured, supportive environment.
The Opportunity
You will support the Team Manager / Head of Fast Track, taking responsibility for the day-to-day performance, development and technical supervision of a team of RTA fee earners and administrative staff. The role plays a key part in ensuring consistent client service, strong financial performance and adherence to KPIs, while maintaining high standards of compliance and case quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver agreed financial targets and team KPIs
- Conduct regular 1-2-1s, appraisals and performance reviews
- Monitor team performance using MI and SLA data
- Oversee telephony standards and call performance
- Manage and resolve client complaints in line with regulatory requirements
- Ensure compliance with SRA rules, DPA and internal procedures
- Provide technical guidance on RTA / Fast Track PI matters (litigated and non-litigated)
- Support litigation strategy and continuous improvement initiatives
- Coach, mentor and develop team members
- Assess training needs and support ongoing development
- Lead monthly team performance meetings
- Maintain oversight of billing, compliance and file management standards
About You
- Proven experience handling RTA / Fast Track Personal Injury claims
- Experience with Part 7 litigation and/or MOJ Portal (Stages 1-3)
- Exposure to OIC and Intermediate Track cases
- Strong technical knowledge of Fast Track procedures and costs
- Interest in or experience of supervising and developing colleagues
- Confident working with performance data and MI
- Strong communication, organisation and leadership skills
- Resilient and professional approach in a fast-paced environment
Working Pattern & Package
- Salary of £31,926 – £39,907 (dependent on experience)
- Hybrid working – minimum 2 days per week in the Wakefield office
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (1 hour lunch)
