Clinical Deputy Manager

Salary: Up to £52,500 (depending on experience). Employment: Permanent, 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday. Occasional night visits or weekend work may be required. Welcome bonus: £2000.

Job Description

You will work alongside another clinical deputy manager to support independence and honour the choice of residents in a person‑centred care environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and assist all aspects of nursing care and activities within the home.
  • Create and update individual care plans for residents, maintaining accurate medication records.
  • Maintain correct staffing levels through efficient rota management, ensuring adequate staff are always present.
  • Provide day‑to‑day clinical support and guidance to the team, promoting residents’ independence, choice, and dignity.
  • Build lasting relationships with residents, their families, and the wider community.
  • Develop relationships with local partners, liaising to raise the care home’s profile.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin.
  • Commitment to adhering to the NMC Codes of Conduct and ongoing professional development.
  • Knowledge of tissue viability, infection control, and care planning.
  • Effective communicator able to build honest relationships with residents and families.
  • Leadership skills; experienced in mentoring and delegating to a team while promoting excellent customer service.
  • Strong time‑management and prioritisation abilities.
  • Respectful, compassionate team player committed to personal best performance.
