Job Description
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, commissioning, site acceptance tests and repair of a variety of PowerStation, Transmission, Substation & Transformer monitoring equipment. The ideal candidate must speak English; knowledge of an additional European language is advantageous. Frequent travel within the UK & EU without visa requirements is expected.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and scheduling FS engineering visits for installation, commissioning, site acceptance tests, repair, training and support directly with OEM and Utility customers
- Liaise with customers to increase FS sales
- Identify and develop commercial opportunities
- Provide V.O.C. feedback to Management, Sales associates, Factory Quality and commercial associates
- Provide support on all reports on training in FBS tools and techniques
- Local stock control
- Develop own capabilities and talent to ensure development potential is realised
- Travel required – up to 75%
KPI`s
- Billable hours: Ensure 72% billable hours and measured by monthly reports
- Sales: Increase in FS sales in the region and measured by FS sales
- Improved knowledge across the Qualitrol Product Range
- Customer satisfaction surveys: Increased customer satisfaction and measured by feedback
Essential – Education and Experience
- Technical undergraduate degree, HND/HNC or equivalent experience
- Electromechanical aptitude
- BESC EUSR Person/Competent Person certified
- GWO offshore certification – advantageous
- Experience within the Utilities & Electrical Engineering industry
- Ability to read and understand schematics
- Excellent communication skills
- Driver's Licence
- No criminal record | Police / UK Gov Security Clearance
