Automotive Quality Engineer
Phoenix Tavinor Engineering Ltd is seeking a disciplined and detail‑oriented Automotive Quality Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the product integrity and ensuring our manufacturing processes remain compliant with industry‑standard certifications.
The successful candidate will provide technical leadership in quality planning, supplier management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Quality Planning: Lead and manage the APQP and PPAP processes to ensure flawless product launches and changes.
- Compliance: Maintain and audit the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with IATF 16949.
- Corrective Action: Facilitate Root Cause Analysis using 8D methodology, 5 Whys, and Fishbone diagrams to resolve internal and external non-conformities.
- Process Control: Monitor manufacturing performance.
- Risk Management: Develop and maintain PFMEAs and Control Plans to proactively identify and mitigate manufacturing risks.
- Supplier Quality: Collaborate with the supply chain to conduct audits and ensure incoming components meet technical specifications.
Candidate Qualifications
- Education: Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of quality engineering experience within the automotive Tier 1 or OEM sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in the Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC).
- Certifications: ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
- Communication: Ability to produce clear technical reports and communicate effectively with both production staff and senior management.
