QA Engineer

Automation QA Engineer – Kidderminster – £35,000 to £45,000 – Hybrid (2 days a week in the office)

La Fosse has partnered with a media agency to recruit a Senior QA into an established team. This is a hands‑on role, with a strong expectation that the successful candidate will actively contribute to test automation and support the team on a day‑to‑day basis. The focus is on someone who can embed quickly, collaborate closely with engineers, and help strengthen overall testing quality.

Key experience

• 5+ years in software testing with strong senior-level automation experience
• Hands‑on automation across UI, API, and integration layers
• Experience testing web applications, enterprise SaaS, and customer‑facing platforms
• Strong non‑functional testing background, including performance automation
• Playwright, Cypress, Selenium
• Postman, REST Assured
• GitLab CI for build, release, and quality gates

Quality & ways of working

• Strong understanding of risk‑based testing and modern quality engineering practices
• Practical security testing awareness (OWASP Top 10, light threat modelling)
• Hands‑on accessibility testing against WCAG standards
• Experience using AI‑assisted tooling and coding agents responsibly
• Confident working in AI‑enabled delivery environments
• Strong communicator, working closely with engineering, product, and design
• Extensive experience across agile teams delivering at pace
