As demand continues to grow, we’re hiring an LED Electrical Design Engineer, but this isn’t your typical "design-heavy" role.
This role is about engineering quality, safety, and compliance.
What you’ll be doing
- Producing compliant electrical designs (schematics, load calculations, circuit schedules)
- Ensuring full compliance with BS7671 (18th Edition) and emergency lighting standards
- Reviewing installations before, during and after delivery
- Providing technical sign‑off and guidance to project and installation teams
- Validating integration of LED upgrades into existing systems
- Supporting testing, commissioning and certification (EICs, Minor Works, Emergency Lighting)
What we’re looking for
- Strong background in commercial/industrial electrical installations
- Solid working knowledge of BS7671 in real-world environments
- Inspection & Testing (2391) highly desirable
- Ability to read, challenge and improve electrical designs
- Confidence working with site teams and project managers
- Be part of a business at the forefront of decarbonisation and energy efficiency
- Work on large-scale, meaningful projects across the UK
- Clear pathway from "on-the-tools" into engineering/technical leadership
