Field Service Engineer
Location: Yorkshire (Field-Based) Job Type: Permanent Salary: £16.50 per hour (rising to £17.50 after 6-month probation) Hours: Monday to Friday (Overtime Available)
About the Role
We are recruiting a Field Service Engineer to join a growing service team covering the Yorkshire region. This is a varied, hands‑on role where you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of mechanical and electrical equipment at customer sites.
This opportunity is ideal for engineers with a strong multi‑skilled background who enjoy working independently in the field and delivering high levels of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on‑site
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and implement effective solutions
- Deliver high levels of customer service while representing the business
- Complete job reports and documentation accurately
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety standards
- Manage your own workload and schedule effectively across the Yorkshire area
What We’re Looking For
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge (essential)
- Previous experience in a field service or maintenance engineering role
- Ability to fault‑find and problem solve independently
- Good communication skills and a customer‑focused approach
- Full UK driving licence
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work autonomously
