Field Service Manager

Job Description

• Lead, develop and hold accountable a team of field engineers and subcontractors
• Build a strong performance culture – dealing with underperformance and raising standards
• Define and implement structure, processes, and governance across the function
• Take ownership of resource planning, subcontractor strategy, and team growth
• Embed a robust H&S and compliance culture that stands up to scrutiny
• Act as the go‑to leader for field operations across the business

Beneficial Skills / Experience

• Track record of managing and developing engineers in the field
• Confidence handling performance issues, recruitment, and team structure decisions
• Strong leadership presence – decisive, direct, and accountable
• Understanding of the commercial reality of running a field function
• Deep care for quality, standards, and doing the job properly
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, no‑nonsense environment

Additional Details

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours)

Salary: Competitive

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence
• Eligible for security clearance (NPPV3/SC)
