Field Service Engineer (Mechanical / Fitter / Welder)

Midlands with Nationwide Travel

Salary: £39,000 to £50,000 (DOE) plus regular overtime (£26 per hour; total OTE £60,000 to £70,000). Benefits include van, door‑to‑door travel, fuel card, kit and welder supplied, mobile phone, tablet/laptop, company pension, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week (overtime up to 60 hours per week).

This role is for a growing engineering company specialized in manufacturing, installing and servicing aggregate processing equipment. The successful candidate will be a mechanically biased engineer with basic electrical fault‑finding and basic welding experience, preferably from heavy industrial backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service industrial equipment, including screeners, logwash, pumps and conveyors.
• Order parts and conduct refurbishment of machinery.
• Maintain H&S procedures and compliance.
• Provide regular overtime as required.
• Work from home and travel nationwide.

Candidate Profile

• Mechanically biased engineer.
• Experience working with heavy industrial equipment.
• Basic welding and gas cutting skills.
• Basic electrical fault‑finding experience (preferred).
