Role Overview

As a member of WSP’s acoustics team, you will work on projects ranging from nationally significant schemes to local community initiatives across sectors such as residential, renewable energy, commercial & industrial, sports & leisure and infrastructure. You will conduct noise and vibration surveys, present findings, and contribute to technical advancements and client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead small‑to‑medium scale acoustics projects and assist on larger schemes.
  • Undertake noise and vibration surveys on a variety of sites and projects.
  • Collaborate with consultants, engineers and cross‑disciplinary teams to deliver projects effectively.
  • Attend client and design team meetings, presenting technical solutions and progress updates.
  • Support the development of the team’s expertise by sharing knowledge and participating in project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in carrying out noise surveys and assessments.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic outlook with a willingness to learn and a team‑spirited attitude.

The team works on high‑profile projects worldwide, regularly collaborating with structural, rail and mechanical engineers to deliver balanced, innovative solutions. It has received industry recognition, including the 2020 and 2023 ANC Awards for vibration control and environmental noise, and provides training, mentoring and opportunities for chartership.
