National Account Manager - Pet / Retail
London Head Office 1 day per week, hybrid working, flexible, national accounts
£60k base + bonus + £5k car allowance
The Company
Our client is a fast‑growing, purpose‑driven pet care business with a portfolio of trusted brands loved by pet owners across Europe. They are on a mission to lead the category through innovation, strategic acquisitions, and brand‑led growth.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and manage key national discount accounts including Home Bargains, Heron Foods, Savers, B&M, and One Beyond
- Own full P&L responsibility, driving profitable sales growth and market share
- Negotiate trading terms, promotional plans, and joint business plans with buyers
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to deliver impactful NPD and range extensions
- Use category insights to influence retailer strategy and in‑store execution
- Monitor performance, identifying risks and opportunities to optimise results
- Act as the voice of the discounter channel within the wider commercial team
What we’re looking for:
- Proven National Account Management experience within FMCG (Food, Drink, or Pet Care preferred)
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with a track record of delivering growth
- Experience owning P&L and building joint business plans
- Ability to turn insight into action and drive category‑led growth
- Collaborative, energetic, and comfortable in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Passion for building brands and winning in a competitive retail landscape
