Apprentice Recruiter (Level 3)

A great opportunity to join our friendly, ethical education recruitment agency. Tara Professional Recruitment supports schools across Shropshire and the Midlands, supplying high-quality teachers and support staff.

As an Apprentice Recruiter, you will support the recruitment team by sourcing and screening candidates, completing compliance checks, and assisting consultants with daily and long-term school bookings. You ll gain hands‑on experience while working towards a Level 3 Recruiter Apprenticeship.

What You ll Do

Most of your apprenticeship will be spent learning on the job, gaining practical recruitment experience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Sourcing teachers, teaching assistants and support staff using online platforms
• Telephone screening candidates to assess suitability, availability and preferences
• Supporting candidates through registration, safeguarding checks and onboarding
• Preparing job adverts and candidate profiles
• Updating CRM systems accurately and consistently
• Assisting consultants with daily and long-term school bookings
• Maintaining regular communication with candidates and schools
• Handling incoming calls and delivering excellent customer service
• Supporting ID checks, compliance documentation and safeguarding processes
• Matching candidates to roles based on skills and school requirements
• Working collaboratively within a friendly, supportive team
• Learning how to independently recruit and manage your own candidate pool
• Developing your personal brand as a recruiter and representing the company professionally

Training

You will complete a Recruiter Level 3 Apprenticeship, delivered through a partnership between Tara Professional Recruitment and Juniper Training Limited.

This includes structured learning alongside your role, with time allocated away from day-to-day duties to develop professional knowledge and skills.

• English and Maths Functional Skills (if required)
• On-the-job development with a dedicated Skills Coach

Requirements Essential Qualifications

GCSE English and Maths (Grade A C or 4 9)

Relevant qualifications or industry experience should be shared, as the apprenticeship can be tailored to prior knowledge.
