As a Family Worker you will be providing support and advice to families in relation to substance misuse and its impact on the family. You will offer family focussed interventions which reduce the impact of substance misuse in families, particularly on children and young people, whilst working to raise awareness of and improve access to appropriate services.

You will have your own caseload, working as part of our team and alongside other social care services to identify how we can help. It will be vital for you to develop strong and positive relationships with clients and their families, helping them get their lives back to where they want them to be, whilst managing an active caseload and ensuring continuity of care.

This is a part time, permanent role with a salary of £25,000 per annum (pro rata). The working hours are Monday - Friday with Monday evening working.

We are looking for positive and motivated candidates who are able to communicate with a wide range of people. You will also be organised with excellent time management skills. You will also be results driven, highly organised with excellent time management skills and comfortable supporting families and children affected by a loved ones substance use. Ideally you will have a driving license and access to a vehicle as travel around the city will be required as part of the role.

To be successful in this role you will:

Ideally you will also have previous experience of working or volunteering with people who misuse substances. We welcome applications from those with lived experience.
