You’ll be paid a salary of up to £50,000 per annum, there will also be an additional 15% night shift premium. You’ll also receive 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work‑life balance. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Supervise and motivate your Team Managers, ensuring alignment with cost and service KPIs, ensuring SLAs are achieved
- Effectively communicate with all stakeholders to fully understand our customer and company requirements, incorporating them into all planning and reporting tools, activities and projects
- Provide training and coaching to staff on process improvements, quality standards, and safety practices
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality and customer satisfaction
- Support the culture of continuous improvement, ensuring your managers are working on improvement projects and delivering change outside of peak
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience in a similar role within warehouse operations; retail experience is a big tick for us
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a team
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make data‑driven decisions
- Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and data analytics tools
- Change management experience – supporting continuous improvement on site and helping to implement change
