Senior Design Engineer

We’re excited to be supporting in the hire of a Senior Design Engineer to join a high‑volume UK manufacturing business designing mechanical hardware products from concept to production.

If you are an engineer who enjoys working from first principles, especially new product design and working closely with a product throughout manufacture this is the right fit for you!

This role suits a hands‑on mechanical engineer who thrives on ownership and complex part design.

You’ll be expected to:

• Be confident designing from scratch especially complex plastic injection‑moulded components, cast alloy parts and gearboxes / locking mechanisms
• Capable of applying GD&T to production‑ready drawings
• Leading your own projects from design to production
• Mentoring more junior engineers
• Understanding and evaluating current product offering inline with competitors

Requirements:

• Degree‑qualified Mechanical Engineer or similar qualifications
• Strong DFM, tooling, and manufacturing knowledge
• Keen to work on site with a busy manufacturing facility.
