The role
The role: Data Quality Analyst
Based in London, this role sits within the global data team and focuses on ensuring data is accurate, consistent, and reliable across systems and reporting.
You’ll work closely with business and technical teams to identify risks early, investigate issues, and improve overall data quality practices. The role also plays a key part in data migration, validation, and governance.
Key responsibilities
- Identify data quality risks through stakeholder collaboration and analysis
- Profile and assess data to detect inconsistencies and anomalies
- Investigate root causes and support resolution of data issues
- Validate mappings, transformations, and outputs during data migration
- Perform reconciliation and post-migration quality checks
- Track and resolve defects during testing and deployment
- Translate business needs into measurable data quality requirements
- Support implementation of data quality rules and pipeline controls
- Develop monitoring, alerts, and data quality KPIs
- Collaborate on data governance standards and training
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data processes and policies
- Ensure compliance with governance and regulatory requirements
Skills and experience
- Experience in data quality, data analysis, or related fields
- Strong SQL and/or Python skills; familiarity with modern data platforms (e.g. Databricks or Snowflake)
- Experience with data profiling, cleansing, and migration
- Understanding of data pipelines and engineering best practices
- Knowledge of data governance and quality frameworks
- Ability to work across teams and manage evolving requirements
- Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments
- Relevant certifications or equivalent practical experience
