Occupational Health Nurse – Samlesbury, Lancashire

Location: Samlesbury, Lancashire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 5 days per week (7.5 hours per day between 7:30am – 5:30pm)
The Role
As an Occupational Health Nurse, you’ll play a key role in delivering a comprehensive OH service, combining clinical expertise with a proactive approach to workplace health.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering health surveillance programmes and supporting escalation from Occupational Health Technicians
- Conducting fitness for work assessments and pre‑employment screenings
- Managing case management referrals and providing evidence‑based reports
- Providing travel health advice and vaccinations
- Assessing and treating minor illness and injury within scope
- Supporting health promotion and wellbeing initiatives across the site
- Assisting senior clinical staff in maintaining high standards of practice
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external healthcare professionals
What We’re Looking For
We’re keen to speak with Occupational Health Nurses who bring:
- Experience in occupational health or practice nursing
- Strong background in case management and health surveillance
- Confidence working autonomously in a busy on‑site environment
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
- Solid IT skills (including Outlook, Word, Excel and clinical systems)
- A proactive, team‑focused mindset with a genuine interest in wellbeing
- NMC registration is essential
