Role Description
Talisman Talent is seeking a full-time Senior Estimator to join our team 4 days in office 1 Wfh. The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, assessing costs and risks, and collaborating with project teams to ensure efficient budget management. This role will involve evaluating subcontractor bids, understanding project timelines, and delivering precise financial forecasts to drive the success of construction and engineering projects. The person would ideally come from a main contractor background and have a strong construction and civils skillset. Experience working on highways and large scale construction projects.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in cost estimating, project planning, and cost control techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in financial projections
- Proficiency in relevant estimating software and tools, such as Bluebeam, ProEst, or equivalent systems
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and other construction documents
- Experience in collaborating with multiple stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and project teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively present and document estimates
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
- Professional certification such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or equivalent is a plus
- Prior experience in working within highly regulated or complex engineering environments is advantageous
