Job Description

Salary up to £38,000 depending on experience.

Renishaw are currently looking to recruit a multiskilled electronic assembly maintenance engineer at our Miskin facility in South Wales.

The role requires you as the successful candidate to work as part of a day shift operation with the responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of assembly production equipment, mechanically and electrically.

Knowledge of Surface Mount equipment and automated soldering systems would be a distinct advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Planned preventative maintenance activities on surface mount machines and various related production equipment.
  • Reactive and proactive breakdown response.
  • Demonstrating good electro-mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
  • Delivering quality workmanship in terms of time, accuracy and job feedback.
  • Accurately assessing and communicating fault diagnostic issues and corrective actions to the supervision team.

Key requirements

  • Higher National Certificate (HNC) / City and Guilds in Electrical/Electronic/mechanical Engineering
  • Completion of an engineering based apprenticeship.
  • Electronics Assembly equipment experience
  • Basic IT/PC skills as a minimum

Person Specification

Methodical and capable of following verbal and written work instructions. Good work attendance record. Can work competently on a stand-alone basis or as part of a team. A clear thinker with good attention to detail. Self-motivated with an excellent diagnostic approach to fault finding.
