We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join their friendly, supportive team to cover maternity leave from May until July 2026.

About the Role
This is a great opportunity to join a welcoming one-form entry primary school with a strong community feel and high expectations for pupil progress.
What You'll be Doing:
- Teaching a Year 2 class within a nurturing, inclusive environment
- Delivering RWI Phonics as part of the school's established phonics programme
- Taking responsibility for planning, teaching and assessing across all subjects in the year group
To Thrive in This Role You Will Be:
- Experienced in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
- Confident delivering Read Write Inc. phonics
- Skilled in planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the primary curriculum
- Committed to raising standards and developing independent, motivated learners
- Able to integrate quickly into a supportive and collaborative team
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience teaching in KS1 in UK primary schools
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
