Stirling Justice Social Work Service is currently looking to recruit an experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic social worker to join the team to help deliver Core Statutory Social Work services. The post holder will work as part of a busy team to help plan, organise and manage offenders in the community, and support the supervision of Court Orders and Licences in the community. Duties will include providing a Social Work service in accordance with relevant legislation including Court based social work tasks; preparing Justice Social Work Reports for Courts, preparing TARL reports for the Parole Board; The successful candidate will be expected make themselves available for late working 1 night per week to accommodate appointments after 5pm for service users in full time employment who are unable to attend during normal working hours. Full training and support will be given to ensure that you are able to maintain the department’s commitment to continuous improvement. The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week, we aim to provide flexible working arrangements to meet the needs of the service and promote a positive work/life balance. All applicants must be registered, or in the process of registering with Scottish Social Services Council and hold a degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification. Successful applicants in the process of registering will be placed on a temporary lower grade position (Justice Officer) until they can provide proof of registration, at which point they will move to the advertised social worker contract. Stirling Justice Services require all successful applicants to undertake Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) at a minimum of level 2. The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children and Adults.
