Training Programme Director – Obstetrics & Gynaecology KSS

We are seeking an outstanding individual to fill the role of Training Programme Director for Obstetrics & Gynaecology KSS, focusing on ST1/2 and the organisation of regional training days. This is a 4‑hour per week vacancy with a salary contribution of £10,000 per annum for one session per week, pro‑rated for variations in hours.

Reporting to the Head of School, the Training Programme Director will lead delivery of a wide range of functions aligned to the NHS England mandate. Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Training Programme
• Managing specialty‑specific matters and trainee/trainer concerns
• Recruiting to training posts and programmes
• Managing the postgraduate programme, including assessments, progression, rotations, support and remediation, out‑of‑posted (OOP) management, trainee career support, part‑time training, inter‑deanery transfer, academic training and related work‑streams

The ideal candidate will be an experienced NHS Consultant with thorough knowledge of Obstetrics & Gynaecology training across the region. Strong leadership, communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multi‑professional team are essential.
