Benugo is a brand known for natural, high‑quality food, operating high‑street stores and cafés within some of the world’s most-loved venues. We are building a partnership with John Lewis to deliver a new brand for 32 of their in‑store restaurants.
Job Description
This role involves leading, managing, developing and implementing growth strategies across sales, recruitment, training, food quality, service and on‑floor presence.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the business performance at the location, achieving company forecast and yearly targets.
- Analyse and drive profitable sales while constantly improving standards.
- Organise marketing activities such as promotional events and discount schemes.
- Provide clear directions and briefings to the team.
- Offer effective feedback on performance through structured reviews.
- Recruit the best team members for the location.
- Build and maintain a solid, professional relationship with John Lewis.
- Ensure effective communication and engagement with John Lewis.
- Regularly monitor customer feedback and produce an appropriate action plan.
- Ensure the location achieves a minimum score of 90 % on European Safety Bureau and 5-star scores on EHO visits.
- Ensure the location meets statutory and company requirements of Health & Safety, Food Safety and Environmental legislation and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar retail role.
- Barista experience (advantageous).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Positive can‑do attitude.
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast‑paced, multi‑faceted, creative environment, while working well under pressure.
- Highly developed attention to detail and record keeping.
- Passion for hospitality and delivering a great guest experience.
- Great team player.
- Leads by example and takes initiative.
- Ability to adapt to challenges and opportunities with a solution‑based perspective.
