Consultant Psychiatrist – 10PAs
This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join the newly developed low‑secure forensic learning disability service located on Turner ward at the Shaftesbury Clinic, part of South West London and St George’s Mental Health Trust. The service is housed within the Specialist Service Line and works under the South London Mental Health and Community Partnership Forensic Provider Collaborative.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical leadership for the Turner LDA ward – a 12‑bed low‑secure ward – and to the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Oversee day‑to‑day clinical care, risk assessment, risk management, treatment and rehabilitation‑focused care delivered by the team.
- Ensure safe, efficient and effective service delivery meeting the Trust’s Key Performance Indicators and the SLP Forensic PC objectives.
- Collaborate closely with the ward manager, service matron, Associate Clinical Director, Clinical Director and, when required, the Medical Director and Chief Executive to address arising problems.
