Podiatrist

We are seeking a motivated, qualified and HCPC registered Podiatrist with excellent clinical and communication skills to join our Community Team. The Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Podiatry Service comprises three teams – Empowerment (Triage and First Contact), Community Podiatry (Foot Protection Service, At‑Risk Foot Team, Nail Surgery Team, Rheumatology Podiatry) and the Acute Team (Diabetic Foot Multidisciplinary Team, Vascular Podiatry, Renal Podiatry, F‑Scan and Offloading Clinics). You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and rotate through these specialist services.
You will support the Podiatry Service in delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care, building on a legacy of achieving the Customer Service Excellence award for 30 years, while consistently promoting and demonstrating the Trust's PROUD values across all aspects of service delivery.
Full‑time or part‑time opportunities are available.
Newly qualified individuals or those soon to qualify are eligible to apply.
Main duties of the job
To undertake podiatric care plans within the community, providing clinical care and health promotion advice to Sheffield patients with foot disorders.
You will deliver evidence‑based, high‑quality care and treatment to a complex caseload involving metabolic, vascular and neurological disorders, including:
- High‑risk and at‑risk routine care
- Wound and ulceration management, including sharp debridement, offloading, neurological and vascular assessment
- Nail surgery

Education and Qualifications
- HCPC Registered Podiatrist
- BSc Podiatry or equivalent qualification
Skills and Knowledge
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Understanding of the podiatrist's role in the NHS and Primary Care
- Awareness of NHS policy and evidence base for managing foot disease
- UK driving licence
- Knowledge of SYSTMONE
