Position
The post holder will act as a theatre manager for emergency surgery at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the emergency theatre team and floor control throughout the night.
- Coordinate effective and efficient access to theatre out of hours.
- Provide clinical leadership and management support to ensure agreed standards, objectives and targets are met.
- Make informed decisions within the scope of professional practice.
- Ensure national and local agreed standards/targets are met and take charge of the theatre department out of hours.
- Act within professional boundaries to provide care for patients.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary care team to meet patients’ needs.
Qualifications
- Experienced theatre practitioner in emergency surgery with excellent leadership and clinical skills.
- Ability to act as a team leader and provide clinical leadership.
- Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report from their current UK occupational health provider or UK GP.
