Position Overview
The Electrical Engineer will work within our M&E engineering team, supporting the design and delivery of electrical systems for allocated M&E projects. The role requires effective communication, strong teamwork, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Produce and deliver electrical designs as instructed by the projects Lead M&E Engineer.
- Ensure designs meet CRE/Lead Engineer requirements and agreed timescales.
- Plan allocated design works to meet the agreed timescales.
- Identify changes to client requirements and raise them with the CRE/Lead Engineer.
- Build and maintain good relationships with engineers from other internal discipline teams.
- Communicate and present design solutions clearly.
Essential Qualifications
- Flexibility in working hours to meet the demands of the role.
- Ability to travel to client sites and other SYSTRA offices.
- Knowledge of electrical services design within the built environment and/or transport infrastructure, including railway lineside systems, signalling power, level crossings, LV distribution, lighting, small power, containment, earthing or fire alarms.
- Experience with Trimble ProDesign/Electrical OM, MicroStation, Relux/Dialux Design Software.
- Knowledge of multidisciplinary issues associated with E&P and/or the Built Environment.
Desirable Qualifications
- Ability to undertake overseas assignments.
- Qualified to HNC or equivalent.
- Experience with Network Rail IP ProjectWise and/or BIM Standards.
- Knowledge of construction principles and standards.
