A Little More About Your Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Architectural Technologist to become part of our expanding Architectural team in our Manchester office.
You will be required to realize preliminary designs into a buildable solution involving all aspects of architectural delivery, coordinate detailed information across all disciplines, and provide a first point of contact to the site delivery team. There will also be a requirement to address programme procurement and programming in accordance with design deliverables, respond to technical queries, review sub‑contractor information, attend and lead Design Team and Coordination Meetings, support the contractor during the build and liaise with management on a monthly basis reporting on the status of the project.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide technical design support to project teams and deliver successful projects in accordance with client requirements.
- Act as a team leader, working flexibly and independently where required, and manage your own time efficiently.
- Manage and supervise technical project teams, together with client and contractor liaison.
- Organise and coordinate design teams and sub‑contractors.
- Handle day‑to‑day delivery requirements of projects at all stages: production of design deliverables, provide accurate technical information, address technical queries, site inspections, condition surveys, monitor delivery; identify proposed design changes that could impact fees, change controls, or program slip to project leader.
What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate
- HNC/HND in Architecture/Building Construction or BSc in Architectural Technology or other recognised approved equivalents.
- Eligible member of an appropriate professional institution (MCIAT or recognised approved equivalent).
- Understanding of Building Regulations and relevant technical design guidance.
- Experience with REVIT and Navisworks to achieve project delivery to Level 2 BIM (Building Information Modelling).
- Must be able to obtain UK vetting level of Security Check (SC).
