Key Responsibilities
- Manage own brand product development, quality, and supplier base across assigned categories with commercial, design, and supply chain colleagues.
- Deliver agreed NPD plans, providing technical expertise throughout the new product development process.
- Ensure product and supplier compliance with ASW guidelines and regulatory requirements, pre‑ and post‑launch.
- Maintain technical elements of the NPD process, ensuring budget, cost, and time‑scope targets are met.
- Act as a technical expert, providing information on standards and legal requirements across all categories.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff (own brand team, commercial team, store operations, customer relations, legal, ASW group technical) and external stakeholders (suppliers, test houses, industry experts, fragrance houses, raw material suppliers).
- Keep up to date with technical innovation and deliver market‑leading products.
- Undertake store and supplier visits.
- Lead the Small Quality Control team and contribute to the growth of the technical team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or equivalent in Cosmetic Science.
- Minimum 8 years in cosmetics & toiletries.
- Experience in a fast‑paced commercial environment.
- Commercial acumen.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritise workload, work independently and solve problems.
- Team player and resilient.
- Healthcare experience is an advantage.
- Experience coaching junior team members is an advantage.
