Platform Engineer

Platform Engineer (Azure / DevOps) Birmingham – hybrid, 2 days onsite – Up to £70,000

We’re hiring a Platform Engineer to help improve, govern, and optimise Azure environments within a regulated organisation.

This is a hands‑on role focused on environment structure, visibility, and consistency rather than day‑to‑day operational support.

What you’ll be doing

• Improving Azure environment design, governance, and lifecycle management
• Reducing environment sprawl and improving cost control
• Implementing Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform or Bicep
• Working closely with architecture, cloud, and DevOps teams
• Improving visibility, standardisation, and repeatability across environments

What we’re looking for

• Background in platform, cloud, or DevOps engineering
• Understanding of environment governance and lifecycle management
• Comfortable working in regulated or compliance‑driven environments

This role suits someone who enjoys improving platforms and processes and wants genuine influence without heavy bureaucracy.
