Job Title: IT Support Engineer
Location: Macclesfield, Cheshire
Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 PLUS 30 Days Holiday rising with service, Vendor Certifications / Qualifications, Private Pension, Private Healthcare, Pool Cars / Vans
We are currently looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join a well established, innovative Managed Service Provider in Macclesfield, Cheshire. The successful candidate will provide technical support to customers and end‑users, troubleshoot problems, and maintain a high level of service delivery. In addition to this, you will get involved in exciting project work and visit customer sites.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and assistance to customers and end‑users, via both onsite and remote support
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals
- Provide training and technical advice to customers and end‑users
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Monitor system performance and ensure system security
- Participate in the implementation of new systems and technologies
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
Requirements
- Experience within an MSP environment is a plus
- Technical Knowledge of Windows Server, Networking, and Virtualization Technologies such as Hyper‑V or VMWare
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, and other cloud technologies
- Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
