Are you an experienced Registered Nurse looking to work nights only? Join our Dorset Integrated Urgent Care Service Community Night Nursing team as a part‑time post delivering face‑to‑face care to adults referred to the team by patients, relatives/carers or health care professionals.
Responsibilities
- Deliver face‑to‑face care to adults referred to the team by patients, relatives/carers or health care professionals.
- Provide autonomous nursing care in partnership with a Health Care Assistant, promoting and sustaining patient independence and wellbeing.
- Support the team with managerial and clerical duties, including telephone triage and personal development reviews for junior staff.
- Drive the IUCS vehicles across Dorset, maintaining vehicle and nursing equipment in good order.
- Ensure medical instructions are understood, adhered to and accurately recorded.
- Provide direct palliative care support to patients in their own homes as part of the Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service visiting team.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) with valid registration.
- Full, valid UK driving licence (required for vehicle driving).
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (the Trust will cover the cost).
- Experience in an autonomous nursing setting is desirable but not essential.
- Experience in palliative or home care is an asset.
- Willingness to work nights: 20:00 to 08:00 over three nights per week (34.5 hours). Part‑time candidates (minimum 23 hours over two nights) may also apply.
