Your role
You will provide electrical engineering expertise for complex, high‑impact projects across the nuclear and power sector.
Expect to:
- Develop requirements, specifications, and design deliverables (feasibility, concept, FEED and detailed design), including calculations, modelling, reports, and drawings.
- Design and substantiate MV/LV power distribution networks; specify electrical plant and equipment to meet process objectives.
- Provide holistic electrical engineering input across system studies, design assurance, and safety‑critical decision‑making.
- Support construction, installation, commissioning and operations, including condition monitoring and asset management.
- Contribute to safety and assurance activities (e.g., HAZOP, HAZAN, FMEA), test witnessing, and design reviews.
- Travel to client sites and secure facilities as required.
About You
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline with progress toward or interest in professional registration.
- Developing understanding of delivering electrical engineering design in regulated or complex environments, working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communicator with solid technical judgment and the ability to produce clear, high‑quality designs and reports.
- Collaborative, adaptable, proactive and comfortable working across disciplines and stepping into new challenges.
- Committed to safety, quality and continuous learning.
Indicative salary range: £42k – £52k, subject to experience.
