Overview


Role Overview – Equipment & Ancillaries (MESM) Based in Chorley, UK, within the IHE (In-House Engineering) workshop, this role supports global clinical studies under the direction of the Global Service Manager (GSM). You’ll deliver hands-on technical services across a wide range of clinical specialties and contribute to product lifecycle management and continuous process improvement.



Responsibilities


Technical Services



  • Commissioning, maintenance, calibration, repair, and technical support

  • Manage shared mailboxes and service documentation in ERP

  • Respond to equipment recalls and alerts

  • Support inventory receipts and counts


Equipment Types



  • Patient monitoring, EKGs, Holter/stress systems

  • Point-of-care devices, haematology analyzers

  • Perform complex technical duties ensuring safety and reliability

  • Lead audits, review team outputs, and propose procedural changes

  • Liaise with suppliers for technical/commercial data under NDA

  • Manage DMR/NCP reporting and ensure quality targets are met

  • Lead kaizen-based improvements and 6S workshop standards

  • Eliminate waste and enhance stakeholder value

  • Manage defects and support continuous improvement


Analytical Judgement



  • Analyze complex issues and contribute to safety-focused decisions

  • Balance health & safety with operational demands


Cross-Functional Support



  • Build strong internal/external relationships

  • Represent Resonant’s mission, vision, and values


Technical Support



  • Research specs, resolve customer issues, and support documentation

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Ops, and QA

  • Participate in customer intimacy programs and cross-functional projects


Training & Oversight



  • Train apprentices and new hires

  • Direct subcontractors and external services

  • Travel for training and maintain ongoing education


Biomedical Duties



  • Routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting

  • Safety testing and compliance assurance

  • Documentation and inventory management

  • Evaluate new devices and implement preventive schedules


Qualifications



  • 5+ years in technical services, engineering, or quality

  • Desired certifications: Medical devices, infusion systems, lab equipment


Skills & Abilities



  • QMS experience (ISO 9001)

  • Knowledge of global standards and legislation

  • Strong electrical/electronic background

  • Ability to work independently on high-risk equipment

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Physically fit for equipment handling

  • Experience with ISO 17025 / ISO 13485

  • Infusion pump maintenance

  • Supervisory experience

  • Proficiency in MS Office 365
