Salary: GBP35,000 – GBP42,000 per annum

Excellent opportunity for an Electrical / Electronic Engineer with strong hand soldering skills looking to transition into instrumentation at a leading research facility in Bedford. The role offers full training in instrumentation and the chance to work alongside experienced engineers on bespoke projects.

The day‑to‑day responsibilities include:

• Providing instrumentation support throughout the facility following training.
• Working on bespoke wiring and hand soldering of fine electronic components.
• Operating on a rotating shift pattern: 7 am‑3 pm / 2 pm‑10 pm, with optional overtime.

Key requirements:

• Electrical or Electronic Engineering background with a relevant qualification (e.g., HND/HNC).
• Experience with hand soldering and working with fine electronic components.
• Wiring experience of fine components is advantageous.
• British passport and ability to pass security clearance.

Location: Bedford (commutable from Kettering, Cambridge, Northampton, Luton, Milton Keynes). Shift pattern: Mon–Fri.
