We are looking for a Roads/Highway Engineer to join our Transport team in Scotland. Preferably based in Glasgow, the successful candidate will work within the Transport team delivering a range of projects including major Transport Scotland, National Highways and Department for Infrastructure (NI) schemes as well as urban and rural road improvements incorporating Local Authority, public realm, public transport and active travel schemes.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of transport infrastructure across the region through the application of their core technical skills, including alignment design, pavement design, surface water drainage design, roadworks ancillaries and utilities coordination, preparation of contract drawings and documents, and building intelligent BIM models to ensure seamless inter‑disciplinary design coordination. Our team in Scotland also lead delivery of these transport infrastructure projects, which provides a range of opportunities for you to take on client‑facing roles for those with established skills or allowing the development of your project management and commercial skills, facilitating long‑term opportunities for career development.
We’re keen to speak with individuals who hold an HND, degree or master’s in a relevant field, are professionally qualified or working toward qualification, and have genuine enthusiasm for a career in transport—particularly the full lifecycle of highway projects and the wider sector.
