An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our staff at Mountainview High School as a guidance counsellor.
This role will involve:
- working with students to support their wellbeing and mental health
- providing guidance and confidential counselling
- liaising with staff, whānau and external providers, as necessary, as well as administration and reporting
Confidentiality and communication are vital to ensure this role is successful.
This role is part-time, with hours to be negotiated. A job description is available upon request.
The preferred candidate would be a member of a registered body such as the New Zealand Association of Counsellors. Police vetting is required. A Post-Graduate Diploma or Masters in Counselling are preferred but we are also open to considering social worker qualifications.
