Marston Green Infant Academy is seeking an experienced Office Manager to join our team and ensure the smooth day‑to‑day operation of the school office. This is a temporary position to provide maternity leave cover, starting on 1 July 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day office operations, ensuring smooth and efficient administrative functions
- Provide essential support to the School Business Manager in operational tasks
- Maintain student records, admissions, attendance using the schools MIS system - SIMS
- Manage Site and Administrative staff
- Maintain and update school policies and procedures
- Data Protection Officer, ensuring compliance with GDPR
- Support the Trustees of the Academy as Governance Professional
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in an administrative or office management role within an educational setting
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines
- A friendly, approachable demeanour and strong customer service skills
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with school management software (e.g. SIMS, Arbor)
Hours of work: 32 hours per week: Mon, Wed, Fri 8.30am-4.00pm and Tues, Thurs 8.15am-2.15pm
Salary: Band D £32,597‑£37,280. Actual Salary: £26,169‑£27,641 (TTO 39 weeks) per annum
